Collection: Dog Food Storage

Dog Food Storage

  • Keep food in a cool, dry place – Don't keep dog food in heat, moisture or direct sunlight, or it may spoil and lose its nutrients.
  • Choose airtight containers: Move food from its original packaging to air-tight containers to keep it fresh and pest-free.
  • Original packaging inside containers: If possible, keep the food bag inside the container to maintain the food’s freshness and aroma.
  • Keep it clean: always use clean scoops and hands when handling food to prevent bacteria growth.
  • Verify expiration dates: Always use up food before the expiry date and discard any stale or spoiled food.
  • Dry and wet food separation: After opening, refrigerate wet food and use within a few days.
  • Buy in the right amounts: Buy amounts your dog can eat before the food goes bad.
